integrity, and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef with
specialized experience in Jamaican pastries and traditional Jamaican patties.
Position Summary
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for producing high-quality Jamaican pastries and
patties according to traditional standards and company specifications. The ideal
candidate must have demonstrated professional experience in preparing Jamaican
patties from scratch—including dough production, filling preparation, and baking—as
this is a mandatory requirement for the role.

This position requires an individual with strong technical pastry skills, efficiency in
a high-volume environment, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and
production standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and bake a full range of authentic Jamaican pastries, including but not
limited to:
Jamaican patties (beef, chicken, vegetable)
Gizzadas, grater cake, coconut drops
Traditional Jamaican baked goods such as buns, cakes, and toto
• Ensure all products meet company standards for taste, appearance, and consistency.
• Produce Jamaican patty dough and fillings using traditional methods and recipes.
• Follow precise production schedules, maintaining consistency in batch quality and output.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pastry workspace according to food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory tracking, stock rotation, and ordering of pastry-related supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen leadership on recipe refinement and menu development.
• Uphold all company policies, safety guidelines, and sanitation protocols. Required Qualifications
Mandatory: Proven, hands-on experience making Jamaican patties fromscratch.
Mandatory: Demonstrated experience producing Jamaican pastries in aprofessional environment.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar culinaryposition.
• Strong understanding of Jamaican/Caribbean culinary techniques and flavourprofiles.
• Excellent time management and ability to maintain consistency in a fast-pacedenvironment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or within a team setting.
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and high-volume periods.Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
• Experience in high-volume food production.
• Recipe development experience.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
